The Root of Lying

Psalm 58:3

“The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies.”

A person doesn’t sin when he or she does something wrong. A person sins because he or she was born a sinner. We lie because it is natural to attempt to avoid facing responsibility. A lie is something that is not true. A white lie is accepted in society as harmless. We all lie in some form or fashion. Romans 3:23 states, “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”
