Let Us Not Lose Our Choctaw Language
Published on: March 3, 2025
2024 was an impactful year for the Chahta Anumpa (Choctaw language)! Yakoke to all our associates for exceeding last year’s language usage goal for our Chahta greetings and salutations in everyday interactions.
For FY25, we are targeting a new goal that 75% of associates will utilize Chahta greetings (Halito, Yakoke, and Chi Pisa La Chike) and continue to share our culture with our guests and each other. Together we play a key role in protecting our sovereignty through preservation of our language.
