Shanis Goodson Promoted to Senior Director of Gaming Operations

Heidi Grant, Senior Executive Officer for the Division of Commerce, has announced that Shanis Goodson has been promoted to Senior Director of Gaming Operations for the south region, reporting to Kristin Lumley, Executive Officer of Hospitality & Gaming.

Shanis has been with the Choctaw Nation since 2002 and most recently served as the general manager of Choctaw Casino & Resort – Grant. She started her career in the Finance department and transferred to the Commerce division, where she served in several leadership positions. In this new role, she will oversee operations for Choctaw Casino & Resort – Grant, Choctaw Casino – Idabel, Choctaw Casino – Broken Bow and Choctaw Landing.

“Shanis is a dedicated and focused leader who is responsible for creating and executing long-term strategic improvements that positively impact the guest experience and associate satisfaction,” said Kristin. “Her strong leadership at the Grant resort will undoubtedly benefit the south region and the Choctaw Nation.”

Shanis is a Choctaw Tribal member and a lifelong resident of Atoka with her husband, Jody, and her son, Caden. She enjoys running barrels, hunting and fishing, playing golf and spending time with her family.
