The Choctaw Nation is proud to announce that Grow is now live! Grow is an accelerator to one of Choctaw Nation’s Tribal Strategies to “Becoming the Employer of Choice.” Grow can provide each associate meaningful work, relationships, information, and development opportunities for the life of your career. The more you learn, network, and invest in your role, the more engaged you will be as an associate, embracing the Chahta Spirit and encouraging others to explore professional development.

The Choctaw Nation is thrilled to announce that Grow is now live within Hoshonti! This innovative new application:
- Cultivates a culture of continuous learning, organizational enablement, and operational excellence that empowers the daily growth and prosperity of our people.
- Allows associates to gain an understanding of the competencies, skills, and experience needed for their current and future roles.
- Identifies learning and development opportunities to support an associate’s desired career path.
- Streamlines and drives consistency in performance management, individual development plans, and succession planning.
- Contributes to one of Choctaw Nation’s Tribal Strategies, Becoming the Employer of Choice.
What Can Grow Do for you?
We are excited about what Grow can do for all associates. Our goal in implementing Grow is to help you excel in your current role, while preparing you for future roles. The system will also help the Nation to better understand our talent—each associate’s specific skills, interests, professional needs, and desires for career growth. This tool was built to empower you! Grow provides growth opportunities, in two key ways:
- You may already be in a role that you love and plan to stay in the field for the rest of your career. Grow will recommend meaningful learnings and developmental opportunities to help you stay on top of the latest trends and information. You can also network with others that share your same passion and explore mentoring, coaching, and creating meaningful connections with likeminded associates.
- You may want to advance to a targeted position or simply change your career direction. Grow will guide you to personalized recommendations needed to get you to that next role within Choctaw Nation by identifying skills, learnings, and opportunities unique to your individual wants and needs. The system will provide available opportunities such as skills validation and training. You may also connect with associates who will provide you with support and advice to help steer you in the right direction. By utilizing Grow, you are empowered to take meaningful strides to reach your dream job.
Let’s take a deeper dive into an example of how to leverage Grow. Say you are currently working in the Casino, and you have always been interested in a Systems Analyst role and after reading the job description, you do not feel qualified. Grow will make skills and learning recommendations to develop your competencies and close those qualification gaps. In addition, Grow will recommend Systems Analysts who you may connect with to help steer you in the right direction. Grow can create and track progress to ensure you are taking meaningful steps to accomplish your goals and realize your potential.

Please note that the Grow training is available within Hoshonti and linked on the Hoshonti Grow’s Updates site. We encourage all associates to leverage this training to familiarize themselves with and understand how to leverage Grow to reach your career aspirations.
Who will support me post Go-Live?
Please know that once Grow is available in Hoshonti, resources will be available to support you during this transition period. Below is a schedule of Webex sessions this week in which Organizational Development will be available to field any questions, concerns, or feedback you may be experiencing.
