Now Required: Pre-Authorization of Medical Treatment for At-Work Injuries

Choctaw Nation associates are now required to call 1-888-652-4435 to authorize outside medical treatment for an at-work injury before seeking outside medical treatment care.

Choctaw Nation Occupational Safety and Health (CNOSH) expects this new pre-authorization requirement will enhance the medical attention process when an associate is injured at work and needs medical treatment.

“Making the call gets the injured associate quickly pointed in the right direction,” CNOSH Safety Director Crystal Battles says. “Making that call also ensures that our organization is providing a more streamline process for an injured associate who needs to seek medical attention.”

Associates injured at work can call 1-888-652-4435, anytime (day or night, during working hours and non-working hours)

“We expect this required authorization (call-in number) will be especially helpful to associates who may not initially need medical treatment, but then do later,” Crystal says.
